At Montgomery Transport Group, we are proud to look back on a truly transformative 12 months. Following a comprehensive overhaul of our operating model, we have successfully integrated our transport, distribution, tank services, customs, warehousing, and freight management divisions into one streamlined operating structure.
Led by Managing Director Steven McBride, Head of Commercial Tyler Eaton, and Interim Operations Director Nigel Moore, this strategic transformation was designed to enhance coordination, visibility, and accountability across our key sites in Newtownabbey and Preston.
The results speak for themselves.
Performance by the Numbers
By bringing our capabilities closer together, we have unlocked new levels of efficiency across our fleet of more than 200 trucks and 750 trailers:
99.7% On-Time Delivery Rate: Achieving a market-leading standard of reliability across the network.
7% Cost Reduction: One major client successfully reduced their annual global freight costs by 7% after consolidating their logistics requirements within our new structure.
92% Drop in Claims: Another new customer saw damage-related claims plummet by 92% within just six months of handing over their end-to-end logistics operations to our team.
Commitment to Compliance and Sustainability
Our operational evolution goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to industry excellence and environmental responsibility:
BRCGS AA Grade: Our Preston Alpha site recently secured a prestigious AA grade following its very first inspection, underscoring our rigid compliance standards.
Greener Fleet Initiatives: In partnership with Aerodyne, we have fitted aerodynamic wind deflectors across our fleet to significantly improve fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions.
Award-Winning Standards: Our hard work was recognised on the national stage this year, with Montgomery Transport Group taking home both the National and International Haulier of the Year awards.
“This has been a landmark year for Montgomery Transport Group and a really proud one for the business. The changes we’ve made to our operating model have fundamentally strengthened how we work, and the results are now clearly coming through in our performance and the service we deliver to customers.
Winning National and International Haulier of the Year is a real testament to the commitment and professionalism of our team. While this has been a strong 12 months, it has also set a new benchmark for us to meet and exceed going forward.”
— Steven McBride, Managing Director
