Founded in 1970, Montgomery Transport are one of the largest companies offering full load services across all major shipping lanes of the Irish Sea.
Operating to and from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to the rest of Great Britain, and providing domestic services within those countries, we offer flexibility for a range of 24/48 hour delivery services.
With our own strategically located depots staffed by our experienced and highly motivated teams in Belfast, Dublin, Preston and Birmingham, along with partner operated sites in Heysham and Cairnryan, our fleet comprises over 250 trucks and 1500+ trailers, we can ensure full control of your freight. Our curtain sided trailers offer internal heights of 2.9 and 3.1. metres, with an internal height of 2.9 metres on our box vans.

Our commitment to continuous improvement is demonstrated by our investment of over £135m in our fleet on tractors and trailers in 2021 and 2022, and ensures our ability to cope with peak seasonal demand. The quality of our fleet is also guaranteed thanks to procurement from within parent company Ballyvesey Holdings, from companies including Montracon, Intercounty Truck & Van, and West Pennine Trucks.
We work to the highest standards, with accreditation to the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme since 2018, and we are currently the only Irish haulier accredited to this level. Our in-house customs team of over 20 dedicated specialists are also on hand to provide any assistance with customs issues that may arise.
We also provide tracking and tracing on all tractor units and trailers, accessed through our secure portal which also allows customers to place bookings, and facilitates POD downloads. In addition our market-leading software solutions provide accurate emissions measurement.
