Montgomery Transport Group was delighted to welcome key industry leaders to our Newtownabbey depot last month for an important discussion on the challenges facing the transport sector. We were honoured to host Richard James Smith, Managing Director of the Road Haulage Association (RHA), along with colleagues Pamela Dennison and Steven Meyerhoff, for a productive meeting focused on driving positive change in the industry.
The discussion covered a range of pressing issues, including ongoing driver shortages and the implications of the Windsor Framework on cross-border transport. These challenges continue to impact the haulage sector, and Montgomery Transport Group is committed to playing an active role in shaping solutions that benefit the industry as a whole. As a leading transport provider, we recognise the importance of collaboration between businesses, industry bodies, and policymakers to ensure a sustainable future for logistics and freight transport.
The meeting resulted in several key action points, reinforcing our dedication to working closely with the RHA and other stakeholders to address these challenges. Montgomery Transport Group remains committed to innovation and operational excellence, ensuring we continue to provide reliable and efficient transport services for our customers.
In addition to these crucial discussions, we also took the opportunity to celebrate a significant achievement. Montgomery Transport Group still remains the only haulier in Northern Ireland to hold the prestigious DVSA Earned Recognition status. This accreditation is a testament to our unwavering commitment to compliance, safety, and best practices in transport operations.
We are proud of our team’s dedication and the high standards we uphold. By continuing to engage with industry leaders and investing in our people and processes, Montgomery Transport Group will remain at the forefront of the transport sector, driving change and delivering excellence for years to come.
